Frontend & UI/UX Design Intern

As a Frontend and UI/UX Design Intern, you will help design and implement intuitive, user-facing components for our AI-powered interview platform. This role focuses on crafting seamless recruitment workflows, building responsive dashboards, and translating complex backend capabilities into clean, usable interfaces. You will collaborate closely with engineering to integrate Django REST APIs and real-time meeting features into a polished product experience.

What you'll do at técrave

  • Design and develop responsive user interfaces using React.js or modern frontend frameworks
  • Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using Figma
  • Build dashboards for interview scheduling, meeting management, and analytics
  • Integrate frontend components with Django REST APIs for real-time data
  • Implement pixel-perfect, mobile-responsive UI components
  • Design intuitive user flows for both candidates and interviewers
  • Collaborate closely with backend engineers to ensure smooth API integration
  • Maintain and evolve design systems while conducting usability testing

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • Pursuing or completing a degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Strong fundamentals in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+)
  • Experience with React.js, Vue.js, or similar frontend frameworks
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and responsive design principles
  • Familiarity with CSS frameworks like Tailwind, Material-UI, or Bootstrap
  • Working knowledge of Git/GitHub
  • A portfolio showcasing UI/UX or frontend projects
  • Self-motivation, strong communication skills, and attention to detail

While not required, it's an added plus if you also have:

  • Experience with TypeScript and state management libraries (Redux, Zustand)
  • Exposure to Next.js or other React meta-frameworks
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and animation libraries
  • Experience designing video conferencing UIs or real-time interfaces
  • Familiarity with Django templating
  • Previous frontend or design internship, freelance work, or open-source contributions
  • Understanding of analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Mixpanel
